Wish They All Could Be California Girls....

Today was a good, very productive, busy day.  I got my hair cut (looks much better!) and then went over and had lunch with Debbie at the hospital.  I got my 2nd TB test done too, which was good since I've been putting that off for a few weeks now.  Then I went and got my smog check done (which I think is totally unfair since I have a brand new car, but whatever) and took the results to the DMV.  I did not have an appointment so I spent over an hour there, just waiting to get my plates.  But I did get them, and then went and washed my car just because she was so dirty.  So now Jetta looks great- clean, shiny and California legal. :)

I definitely still get tired quickly after being down for the count for so long with the flu, but I'm getting my strength back, and am working tomorrow and Friday.  Hopefully still going to have 3 patients of my own, but I might get bumped up to four... I'd kinda like to wait till next week for that, but I guess I should just be ready and willing to do anything!

Got to talk to the family in Boulder today, and really wished I was there to see those gorgeous solar panels up and fully functioning- I've seen them, but not running... Bet it's awsome to have that meter running backward now! Go solar power!! Oh, and I really miss Sierra :(

New grad class last night was very helpful, and it really feels great to have a place to talk with other people who are going through the same things I am, mostly just so I don't feel so alone.... it's nice to know that I'm not the only one that feels like it takes me an hour just to give out meds (the system here is very different.... aka I don't really like it) and that I'm not the only one feeling rushed and just a tad overwhelmed.  Overall though, I'm adjusting pretty well I think!

GLEE tonight- YAY! :)

  1. Marty! I am glad you are feeling better! Did you have a fun weekened with your Mom? I had fun with Dad and the Bergs! We went to the Pike Place Market and ate butter clams! It was fun even though it rained pretty hard on us the whole time... I guess that's part of the Seattle experience. It is so interesting to me to compare what I am hearing from you and from Whit and Zach...its crazy that two hospitals could be so different. I am enjoying keeping up with all of you! I love you so much and miss you! Can't wait til we can plan a trip! Lj :)
